My background: I am an enthusiast programmer studying computer science and have been programming for 5 or so years so I consider myself very experienced. I have always loved the idea of game development but have focused all my efforts on the engine and graphics side, and have never actually made a game. So I would love to try and make an actual, finished game.

Language: C++
Text Editor / Compiler: Visual Studio 2017 Community
Engine: Citrus Engine (made by yours truly)

  • For window: glfw (C style window and OpenGL context manager)
  • For graphics: OpenGL (and glew)
  • For audio: nothing yet, probably IrrKlang (the only thing on this list that isn't open source, at least its free for non-commercial use)
  • For physics: Bullet 3D (classic physics engine)
  • For loading images: lodepng (standalone, tiny png loader)
  • For loading models: assimp (collada loader)
  • For linear algebra: glm (quintessential OpenGL vector and matrix math library)
    Modeling: Blender
    Targetting: Windows 10

My artist friend will do the art.
