That was a lot of fun! Definitely gets your mind thinking. Only played through it once, but just wondering if the levels were random? If not it might make it easier to get faster times on the second round

That was nice!

The game is a bit hard, but apart from that I think you have a nice concept, it could be a really good mobile game, I like it!

Fun Relaxing game, and not once did I feel like i was just randomly swapping pieces around like some puzzle games feel.

Yes, the levels are randomized. Makes it easier or harder sometimes, yet that is why there are five levels to balance it out.

Thanks for playing.

Cool little game! The puzzles are simple to understand, but not so easy to solve and quiet satisfying when you do!
I enjoyed it a lot!

Pretty puzzle game, has potential. I could imagine this getting even harder with adding a second dimension for example.

Supercool, reminds me of Set! A simple idea that works really well. I'm thinking whether it would be nice to make it 2D, but I figure it's hard enough as it is now :-P Also, beautiful rainbow letters at the end.

I love the puzzle game. I haven't seen many puzzle games so far. I love the idea and it was very fun to play.

There's a connection between our two game :D I like your riddle approach of this gameplay !

@ratrogue @DiningPhilosopher

I realized how to make an elegant GUI for 2D levels near the end of the jam and didn't feel like rewriting the logic at that point. Maybe I'll make a sequel another time if the theme is right.

I actually though about Set in the beginning! Didn't dare copying the design though.

Nice! Fun idea and well executed.

The last level got my stumped for quite some while. So close but still so far…

Took me so much time to finally solve that I won't even dare submit my score. Also sadly the scoring doesn't quite work since it looks like would be pretty much just learning the solutions and then executing on a different run. Of course it would be a different story completely if the puzzles were random. Or even same puzzles really but the attributes were randomized. So shuffle all colors and shapes but the solution would remain the same. Would be less about memorization and more about actually solving.

All the levels prior to the last one felt like a cake walk. I think the second most difficult one was the end of the tutorial for me and that was because I hadn't gotten too familiar with the mechanic yet. All the real levels prior to last one were a breeze. They all just had a simple problem with just a ton of fodder pieces for fake complexity. I liked the fact that the puzzles had several different solutions very much!

I was kinda annoying when you were one piece off but had to change pretty much everything. A reset button would have been nice for those scenarios. Or if instead of just swapping to pieces you somehow could squeeze a piece between others and it would shift the overlapping ones towards an empty space. Dunno if it's just my dumb brain but I couldn't really plan ahead enough and quite often had to like scetch them out. Of course it was easy enough to spot those one off pieces and how to get rid of em.

Quite eye pleasing color palette. The dark blue was the only offender really. A bit too close to pure blue made it look out of place compared to others. And it even blended a bit to the background while on peripheral vision. And now I'm getting to the real nitpicky stuff, maybe I've been hanging too much with pixel perfection requiring graphic designers. The pieces were not centered correctly on the white rectangle. It was most notable on the square shape obviously but seemed to happen with all of em. And I didn't like how the dragging mechanic made the pieces fall behind the cursor. Made it seem laggy. A snappier dragging fould have definitely felt better.

This is a really solid puzzle game with a fun sense of humor. The tutorial was great at teaching the mechanics. I especially liked forcing you to make a bad connection deliberately to make sure that you understand the difference between the two. Even with the levels being easy in the tutorial I would have hoped for a slightly slower ramp up of difficulty. I could definitely see this being expanded with other mechanics. Overall, really great job! :)

@anttihaavikko

The level layouts (which objects are frozen) are always the same, but the solutions (the objects themselves) are randomized. It doesn't make a huge difference, yet a difference nonetheless. You might have gotten an easier (or even harder) set of objects on the last level if playing again.

Good points on the visuals. I spent some extra time (after everything else was in place) trying to add pattern textures to make it easier to differentiate between the colors. That didn't work out due to the camera zooming for one. Should have spent that time tweaking the little things instead.

Thanks for playing and the words!

That last level now that was hard. Holy. Really like the game, I don't think there are any issues but I think you could make it even more stressful if u like added effects when the timer went past like a minute, like just as it is about to hit another minute go beep beep beep, just to emphasize they are wasting time. Really nice game. :D

Do check out my game as well, Tic Tac Connec, best if u have a friend to play with :D

Really cool game: I had fun. Mostly the last level had me stumped for a bit, but I figured it out. Nice tutorial mode, clearly explains the concept.
