A dwarf with a pickaxe can dig, but will he have enough beer to keep going ?
yo! Straight forward digging game.
I really appreciated that the controls where really intuitive and I didn't need to read anything extra to get the gist of everything.
Digging through the ground was fun, but on my first few runs I didn't realise how to refill the beer, especially because sometimes the characters and things get hidden behind the UI.
My only real gripe would be the tavern interface. I managed to refill my beer by clicking on every possible button.
Why do I need to convert the ores manually? Couldn't they automatically get turned into money - or even better different things can be bought for different ores?
I didn't understand why I sometimes could click the convert button and sometimes couldn't. So in the end I felt a bit cheated because I couldn't buy the '50' item because my left over ore didn't count for some reason.
Also when you are buying the refill, it would be appreciated to show that the glass is full again - so you're not confused why the bar man won't take your money again (on that note thank you for preventing to cash in everything I got for redundant refills).
I think the game has a nice simple art style that serves it well.
Good job.
Thank you a lot for playing my game !
Why a button to convert into money ? -> more realistic and in the begin of the game jam, I wanted to add another merchant who use ore but I preferred to take my time to polish my game ! Perhaps in a future improvement !!!
Sorry I found a visual bug after the game jam. When you restart the game, the ui of the ore doesn't refresh nicely. I am appalled to have found this, given that it takes 5 seconds to fix. Fortunately, it's only visual !
