Submerged

A game about exploring an ocean of ancient mysteries, and finding the limits of your true self.

Navigate the ancient underwater ruins to discover the secret behind the civilization that once lived there.

A tip for you: pressing R resets the stage. Use it well.

*Known bugs:

Your character get stuck in the moving plataforms sometimes. Also, they don't seem to quite know how to ride one yet. Plataforms are tricky like that.

Your jellyfish friend may or may not dissappear on the second stage… Well, maybe it needed some time alone, how about that? Yeah, let's leave it at that.*

Really cool pixel art overall! Aesthetics and lighting are top notch

I ran into two bugs right in the beginning (character keeps walking when you press talk while walking, death=black screen?) and the gameplay, for it playing under water, is a bit too shallow for me (see what I did there? :D). I like the world you built tho and think it has potential!

I liked the game! Jumping is a little too stiff, and sometimes i would have wanted my camera to pan a little down too, so i could see if beyond the leap of faith there would have been safe ground or instakill spikes. Art is very good. Ending is great. Good story but a little lacking on the technical side

Really good work, music is great, graphics are pretty good, those seahorses are pretty agressive, i was constantly attacking because they move fast, and you can not see very far, the overall stile is very good, the dialog pictures and text boxes, neat!
Colliders need tweeking, it would be great if the camera follow the jellyfish light so I can see what is under me.

Nice game! The game has really nice art and atmosphere. The title art is really good looking. Mechanics and level design are lacking a lot though. Good try on platformer game though, keep at it and you'll do great!

  • Gravity seems a bit too much for a game under water. Lowering character weight or adding friction could improve the underwater feeling of the game.
  • The camera need some work, It's not very pleasant when you jump because it's late on your move and hide the part of the screen you need to check the most.
  • For some reasons I dont die when I'm at 0hp but if I fall on spikes with 0hp the game is stuck with a black screen.
  • The talking button could be replaced with the attack button making the control system easier to remember
  • I'm not sure how the jelly fish up and down control affect the gameplay, it's a shame, because I like the feeling of controlling my own jelly fish. I wish I could check secret passage or hidden treasures spots with it
  • The level ending is always unexpeced i'm sometime teleported to new level without understanding how.
